Poker Room Listing – Our most popular product!

When we list your location and events on UMichiganPoker.com, you show up all over the place on our site!  Here’s what we do for you, and where you will find all your information!

On our Calendar:

Each day, we have all of our active locations listed on our calendar.  It’s sorted by county, then by location name.  When players click on the link, your charity, tournament information, and location address & phone number appears. The calendar is sortable by county, location, an buy-in.  An abbreviated calendar listing is on our home page – titled “What’s going on Today and Tomorrow.”  These links are also included in the Tuesday general announcements e-mail newsletter.

On our Chip Map:

Each poker room listed on UMP is marked with a colored poker chip on our chip map.  When a player clicks on a chip, your big banner comes up, displaying all your charity, tournament and location information for the upcoming 7 days.

We create a custom 300 x 500 pixel big banner for each of our customers.  This banner lists your location name, address, phone, hours and web site.  Your charity, fund playing for, license number, and tournament information is also included on the banner.

Our banners are animated, showing the upcoming 7 days information.  Each “slide” displays for up to 10 seconds, then rotates on to the next day.  We can create custom slash screens for your special events, or to accommodate additional information.

On our Counties Map

We also put your 300 x 500 banner on our counties map, in your home county plus the adjacent counties.  This is the same banner that contains *all* your poker room information, updated every 24 hours with the upcoming 7 days information.

On Your Poker Room Custom Page

UMP will create a custom page for your poker room that players can bookmark and find out all about your room.  It includes your 300 x 500 pixel big banner, your 7-day calendar listing, an amenities grid showing what games you offer, plus any food & beverage offerings.  We list your special announcements and your room review at the bottom.

We can customize this page further, with your facebook, web page, twitter, foursquare, and/or text club information.

Tuesday General Announcements

Every Tuesday, we send out a newsletter to all our poker players.  This newsletter contains a text link to each an every event in each and every poker room we list, sorted by day.

It also contains special events announcements.  We love helping you get more eyes on your special events, and more buns in your seats!  As soon as you schedule any type of special event, let us know!

Facebook

We also have a facebook page we use to reach even more Michigan poker players.  Special events are listed there, along with any other announcements, and some special UMP promotions. We’re still early in the facebook learning curve – but continuing to work on figuring out the best way to leverage this social networking tool!

FAQ

Q: Do we need to provide our charity and license information to UMP every week?

A: No.  We have a list of all the Michigan non-profit and charity org codes.  Each week, we look up *all* the new licenses granted in the last 7 days and add them to our database.  We have all your approved licenses in our database for up to 60 days into the future. Our database is updated on Monday of each week.

Q: Do we ever need to call you with a license?

A: If you have to drive to Lansing to pick up a last minute license, please give us a call – it’s likely we don’t have that one!

Q: What do I need to provide to get started?

A: Just a few things – here’s the list:

  • Your Tournament schedule
  • Hours of operation
  • Any artwork or graphics you want used on your banner
  • A phone number for players to call
  • A mailing address where we can invoice you
  • plus any other information that you want players to  know about, like
    • your web site
    • facebook page
    • cash & other table games you offer
    • food promos for players
    • twitter, text club, etc

Q: How often are the big banners updated?

A: Our big banners are updated every 24 hours.  Each night just past midnight, the information for the day that just passed is deleted from the banners, and the information for 7 days out is added.  For example, on Monday at midnight, all of Monday’s charity and tournament information is deleted from all the banners, and 1 week from Monday’s information is added.  This happens every night.

Q: There are a bunch of advertising rules we have to comply with – are you familiar with the State of Michigan Charitable Gaming advertising rules?

A: UMP works closely with the Charitable Gaming Commission to make sure everything is in compliance with the latest advertising rules.
